Last night I could not fall asleep, this morning I woke up with a doozie of a headache. It was just plain painful.
So I am trying to figure out why I do not sleep. I can be tired and yawning, but just not sleep. I have tried reading, watching TV, listening to music, Soduku… etc. Still I can not fall asleep.
I am surprised I am still awake given how little sleep I got. I think I might have gotten four hours of sleep, maybe less.
Interesting times at work with the changes in Prez for Harman Pro and Crown, so now comes the trickle through effects. So VP of Marketing and Engineering is now the Prez of Crown… so now to find two new VPs. I am concerned as to who will become VP of Marketing as that will directly effect me. Wrong person becomes VP and I could be looking again.
One of the things I wanted to do was mount the Garmin 2610 GPS on the RT in a better manner. So I figured I would just simply cut out a space for the GPS on the RCU shelf I had on the RT. It seemed like such a simple thing. I had a Dremel with a cutting tool on it, plus some cutting disks. What could go wrong.
Apparently cutting an RCU shelf is too hard for a Dremel. I did not just let the smoke out of it, I got pyrotechnics out of it. Orange Flames and everything. I got it cut back though, it is not the cleanest cut so once I get a replacement Dremel I might try to smooth it out a little.
Oh yeah the tire saga continues. I got the wrong size tire for the front, again!
So I have been traveling taking care of customers for the past few weeks/months. I have hit some nice status with some of the airlines and hotels. For instance today, I got a complimentary upgrade to 1st Class on one leg of my trip from Minneapolis to Orlando, unfortunately it was the short flight from Minneapolis to Chicago. Still it was pretty funny to watch the VP walk past me.
Anyway, I sent the following question to an airlines, using my frequent flier number.
Hello-
I am curious what the weight limit is per bag for a Premiere Executive member flying domestically. I reviewed my documentation and the documentation online at http://www.united.com/ual/asset/MP_Guide_041111.pdf I could not find anything more descriptive then “Extra bag or bag weight allowance on Star Alliance.” I remember it being 70 pounds per bag domestically without a charge, but I am not sure so I wanted to check.
I got the following response.
Hello Mr. Benn,
Thank you for being a loyal Premier Executive member. For assistance with travel-related or luggage questions, please call United Reservations at 800-225-8900. They will be happy to help you. Thank you for choosing United and Mileage Plus.
Helpful, eh? This comes after today I had to take 1 pound out of my suitcase at check in.
