So on my way out to California I had the joy of being on a plane with two children about five years old. Now as many of you faithful readers know I find many children spoiled and impolite; I am not surprised that these were no different. I understand that four hours on a plane is a long time. I understand that for a child it might be a whole new experience. But when the brats are three rows back and on the other side of the plane, I should not be able to hear them asking every five seconds “Mommy what is this?” “Mommy, how much longer?” “Mommy I need a drink.” I understand that they have questions and they want to know what is going on; but it is called an inside voice.
You know how most of us do not talk as loud when we are inside as when outside. I also would have thought that the woman would have tried to explain that to the kids. I understand when they are babies – I do not like it – but I understand that they are going to cry and be ornery on a plane flight. But these kids were old enough to be told to be quiet. It would not have been so bad if it was a minute here or there, but literally it was the whole time on the plane.
