So tonight The Wife and I went to Chicago to get a tour of the Robie House or so we thought. We ended up driving to Chicago to have a simple dinner, not the tour we thought. The wife purchased tickets on line for a tour. Below is a scan of one of the tickets.
What you might notice on there are that there is an address and directions. The address and directions are not to the location of the tour. So despite the fact that there are these very nice and concise directions printed on the ticket, they are no where even close to the location of the Robie House. Here is a basic map to see the difference of about 18 miles; in Chicago Traffic which is about 45 minutes:
Click for a larger imageOh yeah we were coming in from the East, or basically we had the fun of going past where we needed to be, sitting in traffic for a while, then realizing we were in the wrong place. All because no where on the ticket was the direction or the address for the item we had purchased. I guess I should have know something was up when the date was listed as October 21, 2005.
