I wanted to experiment with flash and in situation items. I saw this candle in our guest room. I decided that between the orange wall and the teak top, it was going to be a little challenging.
I learned about the difference between using a diffuser on the flash and bouncing it off the white ceiling. One has to consider the distance in the process as well. Taking the diffuser off resulted in a much smoother lighting with the bounce off the ceiling. I did have to punch up the flash strength to compensate for the inverse square law. (Yes inverse square applies to light and sound.)
